Religion and politics are perhaps on of the most avoided topics in our society! Have you ever heard anyone say “ I never discuss politics and religion with friends and family. ” People with this comment probably say this because they think it will ruin relationships. While its certainly possible that discussing sensitive topics can cause people to act emotional and offend one another, NOT discussing our worldviews can be much more dangerous than a crappy thanksgiving dinner. Often times worldviews justify school shootings. Some worldviews try and justify the mass incarceration of Americans and some try to dehumanize groups of people in order to do as they please with them.
